Coutinho's rift with Klopp at Liverpool may open door for Barcelona move

Luis Suarez believes Barcelona is the next logical step for Philippe Coutinho as talk of a January switch continues apace.

He also revealed what he thinks Coutinho can bring to Barcelona.

During the summer transfer, all efforts to bring Coutinho to Barca proved abortive as Liverpool rejected all offers from the Catalonian club.

The brilliant Brazilian was subject to intense transfer speculation during the summer transfer window.

It has been claimed Liverpool's American owners Fenway Sports Group have signalled Coutinho might be sold in January if Barcelona put forward a bid of €150m for him.

Barcelona made a number of offers for the 25-year-old attacker but Liverpool refused to contemplate selling their prized asset ahead of a return to the Champions League.

It is said that Suarez and Coutinho are still good friends from their time at Anfield and Barcelona are well aware of the relationship they share.

'Despite trying to leave Liverpool he continued helping the team and working.

Asked if he wants to end his career at the Nou Camp, Suarez told Mundo Deportivo: "I hope so".

Philippe Coutinho handed Liverpool an injury boost as he trained with the ball today while on worldwide duty with Brazil.

"He went through a hard and very complicated moment but as a professional he continued to show how good a player he is and the personal quality he has".

"He is a footballer, who today, plays at a very high level", he said.

Philippe Coutinho is now with the Brazil squad preparing for friendly matches against Japan and England.
