He said six students, a security guard and two civilians were killed in the attack.

The terrorist attack at the Peshawar's Agricultural Training Institute was recorded and streamed live apparently for the militant commanders stationed in Afghanistan, it emerged on Friday.

Yet another major terror strike in Pakistan as suspected Pakistani Taliban militia used burqas as disguise to storm the campus of an agriculture university in Pakistan on Friday.

The authorities have garnered Close-Circuit TV (CCTV) footage from various localities of the provincial capital city to comb through it in connection with the attack, besides dispatching the body parts of slain terrorists to Lahore for DNA testing. A huge cache of weapons was also recovered, he said.

The area where the attack took place is a hub for educational institutions in the city, including the University of Peshawar.

A spokesman for the Pakistani military Gen. Asif Ghafoor has said "Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claiming the responsibility for the attack is a proof that it was planned by terrorists based in Afghanistan".

Talking exclusively to ARY News, the DG ISPR said the TTP leadership has taken shelter in Afghanistan. He said the attackers were in constant contact with their handlers in the neighboring country. Security forces were quick to respond and killed all terrorists involved in an operation.

Salahuddin Mehsud, Inspector General of Police, while confirming the casualties said that three to four attackers entered the Agriculture Directorate building and opened fire on the guards, adding that the attackers were wearing a full-face veil and came in a rickshaw.

Ghafoor added that Afghanistan's director general of military operations was now in Pakistan and that the issue would be taken up with him. In a statement, the militant group said its members had attacked a safe house of the Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate, the country's spy agency.

Security forces in the clearance operation seized an explosives-laden vest, hand grenades and several assault-style rifles that the attackers had been carrying.
