Florida coach found in NY with missing teen arrested

Police say the teen ran off with her school's soccer coach, Rian Rodriguea, who is behind bars, accused of being a fugitive of justice. He will remain jailed in NY awaiting to be picked up by Florida authorities.

According to a police affidavit, Caitlyn's friend told Scarlet that Caitlyn "hooked up with Rian and he worked his way into her life".

A friend of Caitlyn Frisina said the 17-year-old soccer player was in a relationship with her high school's boys assistant soccer coach, who she took off with a week ago, but she did not want to leave the country with him and didn't know what to do, according to court documents. Authorities said she apparently sneaked out of her bedroom window and was missing since November 25. Her parents flew to Syracuse to get her Saturday.

Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter was able to deliver the good news to Caitlyn's parents.

Caitlyn left behind her cell phone when she disappeared, after doing a factor reset on it.

Police said Friday evening that the pair had been found North Syracuse, where Rodriguez was known to have spent summers.

Frisina was found safe by a New York State Police officer Friday afternoon near Syracuse.

"We had a very attractive, wonderful, very emotional reunion with her a little while ago", the teen's mother, Scarlet Frisina, said at a news conference on Saturday.

"It's been hard", her father, Ward Frisina, said. In Florida, Rodriguez faces a charge of interference with child custody, a felony.

According to the arrest warrant, the teen's father discovered sexual messages from Snapchat that "confirmed a possible relationship" between his daughter and Rodriguez.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and took Rodriguez into custody without incident.

Teen's mother Scarlet Frisina said, "Ward and I and Caitlyn are very exhausted, worn out, in fact, physically and emotionally, and we feel that: she's home, she's OK, we're seeking counseling to help us work through things". That was the teen's last known location, Smith said. She also took out $200 from an ATM in Georgia the day she went missing.
