'Invisible Box Challenge' is taking over the internet

To do the trick, people have to step onto the "box" with one foot, and swing the other over it.

The new trend, aptly termed the "Invisible Box Challenge", has been around for a while, but has only recently turned into a full-fledged internet obsession. Olivar's video follows another from August from a football player in Indiana.

Others hilariously fail, tripping over their own feet or even falling to the ground. So, we're betting you're wondering how exactly this trick is pulled off.

The move has a name - The Invisible Box Challenge. It's called the invisible box challenge, and if you've tried it yourself, you've probably discovered that the term "challenge" is an understatement.

In a video posted to YouTube, dancer Marcos Grados, from Guadalajara, Mexico, is seen completing the move during a performance. "I realized I had got it down pretty well because of the reactions of my teammates", he told Men's Health.

'All [the] hip stabilizers on the right side are firing on overtime to hold that hip in position, ' he said.

"You'll notice his body rotates toward the leg on the step as well; there's a ton of oblique and ab stability maintaining that position". "I just imagined that there was a box and stepped on it".

"The technique, if you want to make it look like [her video], is to bring the other leg higher than the other as if you are actually stepping over a box".

But the moving leg that hops forward faces a greater challenge.

Called the "Invisible Box Challenge", it involves normal people like you and us to pretend to step on a non-existent box with one foot and then leap over it with the other foot.
