Jurassic World 2 "Fallen Kingdom" Official Trailer Released

Jurassic World 2

The footage shows a now-destroyed park, new faces and a freaky faceoff with a new breed of dinosaur: the Baryonyx.

The film will also up the ante on the number of dinosaurs, as Crowley says, "in this Jurassic World, you will see more dinosaurs than you've ever seen before".

The newest clip is admittedly awesome, namely because it finally gives fans a look at the triumphant return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Oh and if you noticed the "reaches out" part in the quote above, then you're probably wondering what happened to the romantic relationship between Owen and Claire that seemed set at the end of the previous film.

Original Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow (who also co-writes the sequel) told the new film will be darker. With this BTS reel being the latest in a line of promotional materials, its time for the trailer, so check back on Screen Rant tomorrow to see more of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Fortunately, Ian Malcolm is set to come back in next year's Fallen Kingdom. In the video, his character can be seen testifying in what looks like a courtroom and he delivers this hilarious meta-dialogue, "Here I am, talking about dinosaurs again". No, it looks like the dinosaurs themselves are the ones in danger.

Fallen Kingdom trailer is slated to drop on Thursday, and fans are expecting big things from these dinosaurs. The teaser released on Thursday on Twitter as the run-up to the trailer reveal for Thursday (or Friday, depending on the time zone difference for India). "I don't know how Beatrice feels, but Jack doesn't really care that I'm an actor", Pratt said.

The film is directed by J.A. Bayona and is due for release on June 22, 2018.
