4 jawans martyred, 3 terrorists killed in CRPF camp attack, J&K

Two pakistani terrorists belonging to Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit stormed in to a CRPF camp of 185th battalion at Lethpora in Awantipora of Pulwama district last night, killing four jawans.

He warned more such attack on security force installations and camps in the state.

She paid rich tributes to the jawans including an officer, killed in the post-midnight attack on the training centre at Lethpora in south Kashmir. He expressed his solidarity with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

Initially, Rising Kashmir had reported that "three militants" were killed. The terrorist organization says that they have done this to seek revenge for the assassination of commander Noor Trali.

He said intermittent firing was still on and one terrorist is believed to be holed up in building block. "There is quite possibility of similar type of attack on other camp also", said the CRPF.

The IG further said, the exchange of fire was going on till afternoon on Sunday.

The Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the attack. CRPF's spokesman Rajesh Yadhav told Mirror that terrorists opened indiscriminate firing and injured three personnel who were rushed to hospital where one of them succumbed.
