Xbox One Gets 'Do Not Disturb' Feature

Xbox One Gets 'Do Not Disturb' Feature

Now in the Alpha ring, the new system update comes with improvements to the Guide, and a key new feature: Do Not Disturb.

Well, pretty soon that won't be a problem with the new "do not disturb" feature that's coming to Xbox One. Plus, it will also prevent your friends from inviting you to another game or activity which is going to be really useful when you are trying to get through all the levels in a hot new game. Available in the Guide, the feature tracks all Achievements that you're close to unlocking across all your games, with the ability to filter the results further. Mini Game Hubs will let you see Looking for Group posts, your online friends, upcoming Achievements, and more.

The update, version 1802.180105-1503, will soon advance through the various Xbox Insider rings.

Also in the Guide will be new Mini Game Hubs, giving you access to content for games you've recently played without having to visit a whole new page.

"Sometimes all you want to do is avoid all distractions and focus entirely on your game", the official post states.

The update will also add a "Do Not Disturb" online status, to let friends know you're now unavailable, while the community feed has also been tweaked to make it easier to view. You'll also be able to see who has liked your comments.

Additional inactivity shutdown options are being added to the Power mode & startup menu.

Microsoft is testing a big new update for the Xbox One dashboard with Xbox Insiders today.

Narrator can read large amounts of text. A fix is being worked on.

Some users are encountering where some games that are installed are failing to launch.
