Arizona Bride Got Busted For DUI On The Way To Her Wedding

A bride has been arrested on the way to her own wedding.

Marriage can be an intimidating event, but liquid courage might not be the best way to get through it, as one Arizona bride discovered Monday morning when she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing her auto - in all her wedding day regalia.

Around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to an intersection for a report of a three-car collision. After signing a criminal citation, she was released to her fiance, according to KVOA in Tucson.

Police said one person sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. "Till death do we part doesn't need any help".

Sgt. Chriswell Scott of the Marana Police Department tells The Republic that Young was cited for DUI and then released to her fiancee. It will certainly be a photo to remember, but it probably won't be included in Amber Young's wedding album. Punishment is assured if a person's BAC is 0.08 percent or above, but Arizona law allows consequences if there is impairment "to the slightest degree". The results of Young's blood test won't be available from the state crime lab for two weeks.
