Monster Hunter World Upcoming Weapon Changes Listed, Watch Deviljho Take on Bazelgeuse

The update will be released this March 22nd. Monster Hunter World's March 22 update brings key changes to a number of Monster Hunter World's weapon types - only the Light Bowgun and Heavy Bowgun escape untouched. Since this is the first major monster being added to the game we can expect a challenging fight, especially considering how much time players have dedicated to the game since it launched in January.

In addition to the game's first big update next week, which adds the returning monster Deviljho and makes an assortment of balance changes to nearly every weapon type, players have a few new events to look forward to in the near future.

Dual Blades: adjustments to help maintain Demon Gauge active.

Gunlance: Reduced sharpness loss for shelling, and made some attack power increases.

Charge Blade: balance adjustments to Impact Phial and Power Element Phial.

We'll be sharing a more comprehensive list when the title update goes live.

Here's how this works: the character edit voucher is a paid item, but you'll actually be given one for free on March 16.

If you choose to make further edits after you've consumed the free Character Edit voucher, we'll be offering more vouchers for purchase at a later date. This voucher will be available for free in the PlayStation Store and Xbox Game Store, but it is a one-time use token, so please use it wisely. Although no word on what quest will need to be completed, player's won't ever lose site of their felyne companion with the bright blue bomber's outfit.

The voucher allows you to change your Hunter gender and appearance in full, but you can not edit anything about your Palico or your hunter's name. The biggest addition included in the update is the new monster Devilijho, which promises to be a real challenge even for those who have mastered the game.

A quality of life improvement will be added, as well, with the option to return to the gathering hall after a quest has been completed.
