Meghan Markle's royal wedding had huge impact on Suits, says creator

The couple will marry in a ceremony witnessed by 600 guests followed by a carriage procession through Windsor.

Assistant Chief Constable David Hardcastle, strategic commander for the wedding, said: "We are proud to police the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead".

As the world counts down to the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding, there's a lot to toast to-and many brands have been doing just that.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during a visit to Cardiff Castle, Jan. 18, 2017, in Wales, UK. On the big day, visitors may be stopped and checked by police officers. "Visitors to the town can expect to see our officers, both armed and unarmed, our search dogs and our mounted section out and about in the coming weeks and months", Thames Valley Police said in a statement.

A broad range of visible security measures will be in place - like the extensive network of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) barriers - as well as many security measures that the public can't see, police share.

There will also be units lining the streets of Windsor, including members from the 1st Battalion Irish Guards of the Windsor Castle Guard, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving, Royal Marines, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, and RAF Honington.

The force says the majority of those working on the operation will be from Thames Valley but other forces, such as British Transport Police, the Metropolitan Police and Surrey Police, will also be involved.

Visitors for the wedding will have to pass through airport-style security scanners, and steel barriers will be erected to deter terrorist vehicle attacks, something police termed as a "screening and search regime". "It is a happy occasion for the whole country and reminds us of the role the Armed Forces play in marking important events in the life of the nation".

Prince Philip missed the centuries-old event due to a problem with his hip, it is understood.
