OnePlus 6 launch in India tomorrow; Know price, feature, specification and more

The display will feature a notch as confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei (who later took down his tweet) and previous leaks and the recent one from TENAA also seem to lock on 6.28-inch display sporting an FHD+ resolution. But thankfully, the resemblance ends there. There will be a 2.5 D curved edge Gorilla Glass screen on the front and a more rounded and curved screen on the back with a metal frame sandwiched in between. So, there is strong possibility that the device will support wireless charging, which was sorely missed in the nearly ideal predecessor (OnePlus 5T).

Well, it's 2018, so here are couple of things I believe OnePlus can still add, wireless charging (we're expecting it on the 6 because there's a glass body), possibly a bigger camera for selfies, more RAM (12 GB???) and possibly even an under-display fingerprint reader (borrowed from its sibling Vivo). Going by the current industry standard, it might come with the latter.

In order to avail the offer, the customers need to visit Amazon India Amazon India Fast AF sale page and click on the Shop Now button. Further, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 3300mAh battery are also expected in the OnePlus 6. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform with Adreno 630 GPU. With a new design scheme, an iPhone-style notch at the top with minimal bezel at the bottom, it will look very different from the OnePlus phones of the past.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 6 will sport a dual rear camera setup- most likely 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel shooters.

- The OnePlus 6 will be powered by Snapdragon 845, a high-end processor that already powers the Samsung Galaxy S9 phones and will also feature in devices like the Google Pixel 3 this year.

On the 21st of May, OnePlus pop-ups are set to open globally in India, US, China, and Europe. It has also partnered with Amazon in India to sell the flagship on the same date.

With that said, this year's OnePlus 6 seems to pack it all.

According to NDTV Gadget360 report, OnePlus 6 64GB variant will cost CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 34,200), while its 128GB variant will be available with a price tag of CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs 39,300) and the 256GB variant will hit stores at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs 45,600). The premium 8GB/256GB version is expected to retail for around Rs 48,000. The mid-range smartphone is also expected to have 64GB and 128GB variants, paired with 6GB of RAM. Following the first unveiling, OnePlus will launch the smartphone in India on May 17. Though it is still unclear if the phone will be priced same as the original (Rs 42,999). The forum says, "It's been quite the wait but we're ready".
