Security searches along global border in Samba, Kathua

A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) was martyred on Tuesday after Pakistan Army violated ceasefire along the worldwide border in Jammu's Samba sector in the late Monday night.

The Pakistan Army allegedly violated ceasefire along the border in Samba district on Tuesday.

"Suspicious movement was again noticed and the action was repeated by the alert personnel".

Constable Devendra Singh of village Lakhanpur, Sikandera, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, deployed at Manguchak border in Samba got martyred in Pak firing.

I am sure that they will be detected and neutralised, Sharma said.

He said that the terrorists had sneaked in using a tunnel.

The latest ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces today comes barely four days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir. When they start, we give befitting reply.

Last month, Pakistan-based Dawn reported that the country is now planning an ambitious space programme during the next fiscal year (2018-19) at a cost of Rs 4.7 billion in a possible bid to "keep an eye on the Indian side". This time it is not going to be an exception.

"We have planned to roll out the project to make the Pakistan border safer and secure and completely covered by the technology", he said.

The BSF Chief said that the group, which tried to infiltrate on Tuesday morning, have successfully been pushed back but in cross border firing triggered unprovoked by the Pakistan, one BSF jawan suffered a fatal injury.
