UFC 225: How Can The Promotion Ever Trust Yoel Romero Again?

UFC 225: How Can The Promotion Ever Trust Yoel Romero Again?

Romero weighed in twice, coming in at 186 the first time before getting down to 185.2 on his second attempt.

On Episode 5 of UFC 225 Embedded, a star-studded media day includes middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, opponent Yoel Romero and former titleholders Holly Holm, Rafael Dos Anjos, Andrei Arlovski, Rashad Evans and Carla Esparza.

The lack of depth in the women's featherweight division means a win would put the Australian in title contention.

Romero was the only fighter on the card to miss weight, his second fight in a row as he also missed weight prior to the interim title fight against Luke Rockhold at UFC 221.

The 41-year-old Cuban's recent struggles come on the heels of an eight-fight win streak that began with an impressive opening-round KO of Clifford Starks in his promotional debut at UFC on Fox 7 in January 2013.

"Absolutely it's on. (Romero) missed by 0.2 (lbs)", White said on the official weigh-in broadcast. "It was the commission's decision". "I'm refueling and getting ready for a fight". "We want to fight for the title".

A decision has been made regarding Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero II.

UFC 225 pay-per-view event is slated to go down on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The main card will air on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET while the preliminary card will air on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET and the promotion's streaming service, UFC Fight Pass at 6 p.m. ET. "I don't know what they're going to do".
