The north London side will host the defending Premier League champions in their top-flight opener on 11 August as they look to start their stint under new boss Unai Emery on a positive note.

Games against newly-promoted trio Wolves, Cardiff and Fulham are part of a sequence which also includes Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton - the three teams who came up the previous season.

During their impressive march to the UEFA Champions League final in 2017-18, it went slightly unnoticed that Liverpool only narrowly finished in the top four in the Premier League.

The opening Manchester derby of the season takes place at the Etihad on November 10.

None of the promoted sides have been given a horror run of games against leading clubs at the start of the season, although they will each face at least one of the big six in their opening four fixtures.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are huge favourites to win the league next season after they strolled to the title this year.

City claimed a 100% record against Arsenal and Chelsea last season with our 1-0 triumph at Stamford Bridge a stand-out victory and performance.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is furious with the Premier League board for giving Liverpool a more favourable series of fixtures than the Red Devils.

Spurs start the season away to Newcastle on August 11-12, and face a trip to Manchester United on August 25-26.

Four rounds of Premier League fixtures are scheduled to be played before the first global break, which is over the weekend of 8 and 9 September.

Few supporters will relish the new campaign more than those of Wolves, Cardiff City and Fulham, who all return to the Premier League from the Championship.

Liverpool visit Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium on the weekend before the third round of fixtures in Europe's premier club competition, scheduled for October 23 or October 24.
