Rep: Pop star Demi Lovato awake and recovering with family

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department said they received a call at 11.22am for an "medical emergency" and took a 25-year-old woman from a property in Hollywood to a local hospital.

She is now undergoing treatment and her condition is not yet known. Last month, she released a song called "Sober", in which she sang, "I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore".

She candidly discussed her battle in the October documentary "Simply Complicated", in which she revealed she first tried cocaine at 17 and "loved" it right away.

She even gave interviews about her new sober lifestyle while high on drugs she said, while cycling through sober companions. Live Nation did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment. "I'm touched", said Foxx, who also starred in her video for "Sorry Not Sorry".

Australian actress Ruby Rose sent a powerful note of support, telling the "Sober" singer she was strong enough to "fight this".

Several Hollywood celebrities, such Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres and Ariana Grande, among others took to social media to support the singer after the possible overdose.

She last performed Sunday at the California Mid-State Fair.

She was due to play in Atlantic City on Thursday night (US Time), before taking a break until late September when she was due to being a two-month tour of Central and South America.

In 2011, she entered treatment for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm, and addiction.

The network continued the statement with "our thoughts go out to Demi and her family".

"We should all wrap our arms of love around Demi Lovato".

'Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi, ' Tweeted out Nick.

"She's very vocal about the fact that he is the love of her life".

Lovato's fans also came together in light of her hospitalization, using #PrayForDemi and #StayStrongDemi. "It's basically like a therapy session before the concerts and we have speakers from all over, and we're also helping out with different charities from around the country, so it'll be incredible and a very moving and inspiring experience", Demi told Good Morning America in January.
