Apple expected to unveil new iPhone models on September 12

Starting off with the new iPhones, Apple's new 2018 lineup looks set to consist of 6.1-inch LCD-equipped iPhone 9 (not pictured here) alongside two iPhone XS-branded OLED handsets.

Analysts believe the tech giant will unveil three new smartphones - one with a larger display, one with a cheaper edge-to-edge screen, and a possible gold-coloured successor to the iPhone X. To recall, a gold colour option for the unreleased iPhone X was previously leaked in a document by Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Invites to the event were sent out to media this morning, with the launch kicking off at 10:00am PT at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, CA. In addition to this, it has also been reported that for the first time, the company will also be live streaming the event on Twitter as well as its mobile apps. Other possible products that could be on deck for a grand reveal include new Apple Watch models, an updated iPad Pro and the next version of its AirPods. It also noted that the Apple Watch 4 will have better compatibility with current watch bands, in case users are looking for additional comfort.

According to a new report published by BGR on Thursday, Apple will indeed hold its fall 2018 iPhone event on the 12th of September.

Every year, around the holiday season, Apple blesses their consumers with a new iPhone. In the coming days, you can expect more leaks about these new products.

Apple's event invitation made heavy use of the colour gold, fuelling speculation the company plans to launch a gold-coloured successor to the iPhone X, which was made available in silver and gray past year. Scheduled to start at 10AM, rumour has it that the event might see the launch of three new iPhones. The 6.5-inch model would be the largest iPhone to date, and the 6.1-inch model would be a new, less-expensive model for customers to consider.
