Chelsea fans fume at Thibaut Courtois ‘disrespect’

Thibaut Courtois finally made his Real Madrid debut over the weekend and after turning out for his new side, the Belgium global aimed his cross-hairs on his former side by brutally trolling Chelsea.

As The Sun reports, the former Blue has taken "another dig at Chelsea" by comparing them unfavourably with his new club Real Madrid.

Courtois made over 150 appearances for Chelsea before moving to Los Blancos last month.

Courtois will already be an unpopular figure in the Chelsea camp after the way he conducted himself towards the end of his time at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid started the season 2-0-0 with early wins over both Getafe CF and Girona.

Courtois has played second fiddle to Keylor Navas, until Saturday.

Courtois also spoke about the differences between the Bernabeu and Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has said that he is relishing battling Keylor Navas for the gloves at the Bernabeu this season.

He added: "It's twice as big, of course, it's a very different feeling. If you look forward you only see a wall of people, while at Stamford Bridge you can still see the sky or the hotel behind the grandstand".

While Courtois's departure has not been felt dearly by Chelsea thus far, it is clear that Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was signed in a world record deal for a goalkeeper, has a lot of progress ahead of him before he can reach his predecessor's stature.

It will be interesting to see how the competition for the playing X1 will be as the two world-class goalkeepers will fight each other to make a place in the team.

The La Liga match between Real Madrid and Leganes will be broadcast live beIN Sports.
