Earl Thomas plans to report to Seahawks on Wednesday

The Seahawks practice at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and if Thomas is present on the field, the Cowboys and other teams will have to wait until his contract is complete at the end of the season before taking another shot at the Seattle legend.

Thomas wrote, "The disrespect has been noted and will not be forgotten".

"I worked my whole life for this", Thomas posted. That likelihood, apparently, is enough to keep the Cowboys brass from ponying up whatever pot-sweeteners Seattle now wants.

Thomas' absence from mandatory minicamp and training camp has subject him to roughly $1.6 million in fines. He has sought certainty over his long-term future and used social media to make his case during the off-season.

A short time later, Thomas announced on Instagram that he would report to the Seahawks today. He would stand to miss out on $500,000 each week he skips during the regular season; that's the amount of each game check as part of his $8.5 million salary for 2018.

The offer was rebuffed, which fits with another one from last weekend that said multiple teams have inquired about a deal for Thomas only to find that the Seahawks' asking price is higher than they are willing to pay.

Thomas played for 14 games (all starts) for the Seahawks last season and recorded two interceptions and a touchdown to go with 88 total tackles.

The Seahawks, though, said no. Seattle believes Thomas is worth more than a second-round pick. Frazier will replace Xavier Woods in the starting lineup as Woods recovers from a hamstring injury.
